An American Scary Movie Classic

Here we are again folks; another addition to the Halloween movie series... and the twist, it's directed by Rob Zombie. You remember him from his publications of various songs and the movie Devil's Rejects. This movie is very highly anticiated by all loyal long-time viewers of this series. Now I'm not sure what will happen next because this movie is at the hands of Rob Zombie. But from my take, I see that this movie and other movie series are starting to go back to the very beginning of how it all happened. This is to help fill in the holes of the story that we all wondered about.

As far as a comparison between my opinion of the best scary movie (Which is Saw) and this one (Halloween) I really see one thing. The simple fact of both main characters being serial killers. One with an end moral (Which is Saw) and one that just does cold-blooded killing (Which is Halloween). Me myself, I am a scary movie coniseaur and it takes quite a bit of gore for my skin to crawl. With Saw, it made my skin crawl due to the "what if" factor. The main character is based on a possible real life situation. Now with Halloween, the comparisons of both movies comes closer to that particular factor because Halloween is now going back to the childhood of Michael Meyers and how it all began. As we all know a bad person was never a bad child from birth. And in this coming movie that is what this motive is based on.

With the "what if" factor in mind, that's what makes a scary movie scary, when at any moment you yourself could meet that everyday person that could be the killer of the year.

So with that said, happy social meetings.

Let the makeover begin for Paris Hilton

One day Paris Hilton is screaming for her mommy as she is cuffed and taken to the pokey in a reckless driving case. The next, she's the model of magnanimity, saying she wouldn't appeal her 45-day sentence and that she is "learning and growing" from her time behind bars.

An insincere buffing of an image scuffed like a pair last season's Jimmy Choos? Maybe. Effective? Probably, say veteran Hollywood image-makers.

"Based on the way the story has been playing out, this is a good move for her," said Michael Levine, who has served as publicist for dozens of celebrities, including Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand and Bill O'Reilly. "Experience has taught me that celebrities respect wisdom but obey pain. What I mean by that is that when they feel the heat, they see the light."

If Levine were working with the celebutante, he would recommend she show she has learned from the experience by fading from the party scene for a while and getting behind sympathetic causes like Angelina Jolie, who traded her bad-girl credentials to become a mother and a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations.

"When you're in a hole, it's generally a good idea to stop digging ... from doing the same idiotic stuff that got you in trouble in the first place," Levine said.

Hilton's publicist, Elliott Mintz, did not immediately return e-mail or phone messages.

TomKat Woes

Many years from now, when Suri Cruise is doing research for her tell-all, she'll discover that the tabloids marked her momentous first birthday in the traditional way -- by dissecting her parents' conspiracy-surrounded coupling. "Her Painful Choice: No Way Out," trumpets the front of the latest Us Weekly. "In love with Tom, but confined by Scientology, a conflicted Katie struggles to find happiness." A mole alleges to the mag that a beleaguered Holmes was "offended" when Cruise suggested she take church-approved "mommy classes." Another supposed sticking point with the newlyweds: She's constantly surrounded by her hubby's fellow L. Ron Hubbard-devoted minions, with only BFF Victoria Beckham offering her "a link to the outside world." Huh. Star, meanwhile, goes for a more conventional approach, offering up a no-nonsense "Divorce!" headline and claiming a tearful Katie has had it up to her cold, dead eyeballs with her "critical" mother-in-law. Life & Style, on the other hand, exhales, "Finally! Tom's Side of the Story," and delves into his purported fears over whether Katie is in love with him or what's left of his fame.

Jude Law and Lindsay Lohan... What?!

Words we sincerely hope Jude Law's three kids will never have to hear: "Meet Lindsay Lohan, your future stepmom." The New York Post claims the rehabbed but still continuously club-hopping starlet got to know the Sienna-less, nanny-susceptible actor a little bit better last weekend while making the scene in Manhattan.

Lohan, 20, supposedly called Law, 34, at 1 a.m. Saturday and rendezvoused with him at the unfortunately named New York nightspot The Box.

They apparently hit it off, because the next night the age-disproportionate new pals met up again at The Box (oy). There, says the paper, they hung out with Jude's buddies Sean Penn and Tim Robbins, who at 46 and 48, respectively, must have filled LiLo's father-figure quota for the month (in related news, her estranged pop was sprung from the pokey this week).

"They are adoring one another's company," a mole (no doubt breathlessly) informs the paper, but demurs when asked whether they might be "dating."

Lindsay's spokeswoman is mum on the reports, although she does confirm to Star that the puffy lipped actress, who may or may not have clipped a paparazzo with her BMW while leaving hot spot Butter on Tuesday, has purchased two puppies (PETA, take note).

As for Law, who has been in Tokyo this week promoting "The Holiday," his mouthpiece doesn't comment on his personal life.
