Victims in Virginia Tech Massacre

They came to Blacksburg, Va., from all over the country — and all over the world. They came to study and they came to teach. They had plans. They had friends. They had families.

As the list of confirmed victims in Monday's massacre on the Virginia Tech campus grew, so too did the number of stories about the individuals who fell victim to the gunman, 23 year-old Cho Seung-Hui of Centreville, Va.

There was Liviu Librescu, an engineering science and mechanics lecturer who survived the Holocaust. His students say he blocked the door of his classroom with his body to protect those inside.

There was the popular and gregarious Ryan Clark, the resident advisor and member of the school's Marching Virginians band. Clark was one of the first killed in the rampage. Like others, he was weeks away from graduation.

There was Reema Samaha, a freshman who performed with the school's Contemporary Dance Ensemble. She was shot dead in French class.

We Forgotten The Unfortunate Already?

I did an earlier post of the Jay-Z featuring Neo's "Minority Report" and I had to give a refresher, "not wanted to but had to". It's each and everyone's calling to help our brethren in need no matter what predjudice is imbedded in our minds, the selfishness that we all hold to heart should not be the reason to turn a blind eye to those who are crying.... scream for our help.

The messed up part is.... we are watching it, it's right here in front of us and all we are doing is sitting here talking about " oh that is soooo sad. It's sad that each of us can't even donate $1 to help and there are millions of people in these United States.

I'm going to use "United States" loosely becuase we are not united in the slightest if we can just watch childern, people die in such a horrible way, all over the world, with all the millionaires we have here in these "United States".

Needless to say... just because it's not on the news anymore doesn't mean the problem does not exist.
